David Brubaker
中央音乐学院鼎石实验学校首任校长

Welcome to Central Conservatory Preparatory School!

Our journey through life begins with our dreams and aspirations.

I have spent nearly four decades in the United States involved in the field of education as a teacher, school principal, and university instructor. My proudest achievements are those students that I taught who have grown to become happy and productive adults.  Education is a calling.  As a career educator, I have traveled to China to learn the ways and traditions of this country and to share my knowledge and experience.

The Central Conservatory Preparatory School was founded in the fall of 2013. We are the first international music high school in China. At CCPS, we are committed to combining the spirit and practices of Chinese and Western music teaching methodology. Our curriculum is delivered through three major branches: Music studies, Chinese studies and the International curriculum. Our goal is to assist our students in achieving their potential as musicians and as scholars.  In this multi-cultural environment, a mix of Chinese and Western instructors teaches our academic classes.  In every class, there is a strong focus on helping students prepare for a lifetime in the 21st century. It is a necessity for them to become critical thinkers and problem–solvers.

Olympian Jesse Owens once said, “We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.”

These are the students that are most attracted to our program.  We want to give them the means to be successful in whatever future they choose after graduation.  Whether that choice is a conservatory in China or an international university, our job is to help them develop the skills necessary to achieve their dreams.

Wishing you a successful and rewarding school career!

Sincerely,

David A. Brubaker,

The First Principal of CCPS
