Zhao Yu Horn

A young horn performer, enrolled by the CCOM Middle School since 1996 and admitted by the CCOM as the top student in the major of wind music. He was consecutively mentored by the famous horn educator Chen Genming and professor Zhang Chengxin.

Used to act as the principal horn for the China Youth Symphony Orchestra and he has been serving for the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater since 2006 until now. Zhao is salted in performing solo, ensemble and symphonic orchestra and he has also abundant experience in pedagogue. Many youth talents are trained under his guidance. Since 2010, he has been serving as the wind band director for the Wings of Music——Children’s Musical Charity. In 2014, he was invited to hold as the adjudicator and band director for the Ninth Zhongsin International Music Competition held in Singapore; in 2015, he acted as the Chinese band general superintendent for the well-known musical drama The Phantom of The Opera that toured in Beijing.
