
Li Da | Violin Teacher
Leda, the teacher at the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) and concert master of EOS Orchestra (graduateschool) of CCOM and the Qingxin Baroque Orchestra, is an all-round performer active in the fields of violin solo, chamber music and symphony. Her mother has been her piano instructor from her young age, whichwas conducive to her enrollment to the Attached Primary School of CCOM.
In2001, Leda was qualified the highest scholarship to enter the CCOM as a college student and gained postgraduate recommendation as the best of the best.
In2008, she elected to teach in the university. And she has been under the guidance of Prof. Yaoji Lin, the deceased violin educational master.
As a solo violinist, not only did she obtain the guidance of world wide violin masters like Du Mei and remarkable awards in competitions both at home and abroad, but also bath in YehudiMenuhin’s warm approbation of “a soul-touching and spiritual performance”.
As a chamber musician, she has been invited to perform at major music festivals such as the CCOM Music Festival, Music Festival of the CCOM Chamber Music, the Beijing International Modern Music Festival, the West Lake International Music Festival, “Sino-Italian” “Sino-Russian” Culture Year and the Asian Youth Talent Arts Festival. In 2014, she became a member of the CCOM Chamber Ensemble.
In2016, she joined both the Beijing Aigesente Soloist and the Aerospace National Music Chamber Ensemble.
An active figure in Baroque music circle. From 2013 to 2016, Lectural Concert Series of “Baroque on String” were held in the NCPA with hotresponse. In 2014, she co-founded the Qingxin Baroque Orchestra and held thepost of concert master, accompanied by a number of important performances include the “Praise! Baroque” in the NCPA and Zhang Liping’s Solo Concert.
As a symphony performer, Leda cooperating with Yale University Choir gave a performance of “Beethoven Ninth Symphony” in 2013. From2014 to 2016, she has participated in the New Year’s Concert, especially in2015 Leda was on the stage together with Lang Lang and Yundi Li. In 2017, she joined the CCOM Symphony Orchestra.
Leda commits to the publicity of new works of Chinese contemporary composers. Her performance has brought a sparkle tomusic pieces, which she made records for, of well-known composers like JohnCage, Jianping Tang, Wenjing Guo, Danbu Chen and Feinan Wang, and rewarded herthe Performance Award in the Second Session of “Palatinate” Violin Competition.The new work “Thinking” was broughtto the audience in China Excellent Violin Arts Show.
She also makes efforts to the popularization of classical music. In August 2016, sheserved as the Director of Orchestra Kids. As the new blood of China’s classical music education, Leda has been an expert in the Beijing International Summer Camp of ABRSM, interviewed by a number of newspapers, radio and televisionstations such as Music Weekly, Beijing Music Radio, Phoenix TV, BBC, and Australia TV and showcasing in relevant program recordings.
