Chen Guang | Trumpet Teacher

Chen Guang, a trumpet professor at the Orchestra Instrument Department of Central Conservatory of Music, the Chief Executive Officer of EOS Orchestra, he was once taught by Professor Ji RuiKai. Currently, he is a visiting trumpet professor at the China National Symphony Orchestra. In 1999, he won the Zubin Mehta scholarship and was sent to Vienna, Austria to get further education where he was taught by Josef Pomberger and Adolf Holler, the chief trumpet professors of Wiener Philharmonic Orchestra. When in Vienna, he cooperated with The Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Vienna Strauss Orchestra and delivered a great performance. In June 2005, he graduated from the Vienna National Music and Performing Arts University in Austria, with high major grades. After coming back to China, he served as the visiting professor of many famous symphony orchestras, such as China Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Ballet of China and the Philharmonic Orchestras of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hangzhou. Form July 2008 to 2012, he was invited to perform in the Asian Philharmonic. In 2010, he was invited to the New Year’s Concert at the Worldwide Chinese Festival Orchestra. During 2011 to 2013, he was invited by the Malaysian Symphony Orchestra to serve as the chief trumpet player. During 2012 to 2014, he was invited by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra to take part in the Show Season and Taping and served as the chief trumpet player. In 2013 and2014, he was invited to take part in the program of China’s Top 10 Wind Music and Top 10 Trumpet players held by CCTV. He once delivered lectures in many art academies in China and was widely praised by professional visitors. He is regarded as one of the most talented trumpet players in China.
