He Shucong | Violin Teacher

Shucong He is a violinist recognized as one of the most incredible Chinese violinist of the new generation. He is the faculty of Central Conservatory Preparatory School and Harbin Conservatory of Music, young artist of Hefeng Art Foundation, and the Concertmaster of Major Ensemble. Shucong is the recipient of the Gold Medal of the 3rd China CCTV Violin Competition, the 10th China Music Golden Bell Award, and the 10th Wenhua Arts Academy Award, and has won numerous international and domestic awards including the Gold Prize of the Asian String Competition, the Jury Prize of the Brahms International Violin Competition in Austria, the 3rd place of the 1st Tretyakov International Violin, and the Special Prize named after the great violinist Julian Sitkovetsky.


Shucong has successfully collaborated with conductors Yu Long, Wu Lingfen, Zhu Qiyuan, Zhang Liang, Xia Xiaotang, Jing Huan, Hong Yin, John Nelson, Vladimir Lande and many other orchestras as a soloist in domestic and international performances, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Chongqing Philharmonic Orchestra, Changchun Symphony Orchestra, China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Tianjin Opera Orchestra and Siberian State Symphony Orchestra of Russia. Shucong has been active on important music stages around the world for a long time and has performed in more than 20 countries and major concert halls in most cities in China. The 2022 concert season includes collaborations with the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra and Chongqing Philharmonic Orchestra, and will tour in recitals in more than 30 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan, and Hangzhou.


Born in Tianjin, Shucong He received his undergraduate and master's degrees from the Central Conservatory of Music, admitted in first place in China. He is the first and only recipient of the Artist Diploma with a full scholarship in the history of the National University of Singapore. He has studied with Professors Jixu Chen, Liang Chai, Bing Yu, Zhou Qian, Pierre Amoyal and Shlomo Mintz. During his studies at the Central Conservatory of Music, he was selected for the BOB training program in 2012 and received special state funding support due to his outstanding performance, and received sponsorship from the Edifier Musicians Foundation and the Wahaha Chamber Music Foundation. During his musical journey, he has received the help and appreciation of many famous violin masters such as Ivry Gitlis, Pinchas Zukerman, Victor Tretyakov, Vadim Repin and Midori Goto.

Shucong is very passionate about chamber music and has worked with violinists Siqing Lv, Zhou Qian, Shlomo Mintz, pianist Yingdi Sun, cellist Liwei Qin, etc. He founded the Voyage Piano Trio, was interviewed by China People's Radio, accumulated a large repertoire and started a national tour in 2016. Shucong was involved in founding the Pentagon Piano Quintet, was the first violin in the 9th China Music Golden Bell Award Piano and String Repertoire Competition, and won the award.Shucong is a member of the Virtuoso Ensemble of the Central Conservatory of Music and the Beijing Accent Soloists Ensemble, and participated in the recording of the national lunar exploration project piece "To the Moon". Shucong was invited to be the Concertmaster of the Major Ensemble and was invited to perform at the 76th United Day and the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the legal representation of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations in 2021. He was invited by the Muxin Art Museum to premiere Mr. Xin Mu's posthumous score and perform it at his former residence, the Wanqing Xiaozhu.


Shucong He has joined the faculty of the Central Conservatory Preparatory School since 2016, and joined the faculty team of the Singapore International Violin Festival in 2019 and served as a jury member of the international competition of the festival. Shucong has joined the faculty of the Harbin Conservatory of Music since 2021.
