
Liu Fanglei | Violin Teacher
Fanglei Liu performed as soloist with Deutschen-Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Magdeburgische Philharmonie, Orchestre Philharmonique du Maroc, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Harbin Symphony Orchestra and Südwestdeutsches Kammerorchester. She was invited to give concerts at the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival in Germany, Pacific Music Festival in Japan, Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander in Spain, Menuhin Festival in Gstaad Switzerland and Savonnina Summer Festival.
In year 2018 she was appointed as assistant concertmaster of Hongkong Sinfonietta and she served as guest concertmaster in this orchestra in summer 2019. Currently she holds a teaching position in Tianjin Conservatory of Music.
As a passionate chamber music player, Fanglei worked intensively with Maestro Christoph Echenbach, Tokyo String Quartet, Prof. Nobuko Imai, Prof. Hansjörg Schellenberger, Prof. Ivan Monighetti and Prof. Christoph Henkel. She is a co-founder of the Sino-Germany chamber music festival in Shanghai China.
Despite the rich experiences in solo and chamber music fields, Fanglei has also played in violin sections of world clasa orchestras including Luzern Festival Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, Guerzenich Orchester Cologne and Kammerakademie Potzdam.
Fanglei is a major prizewinner of Harbin International Music Competition 2018, Musikpreis- Violinwettbewerb ‘Ton und Erklärung’ 2016, Ibolyka-Gyarfas Violinwettbewerb 2013 and CCTV Competition for Piano and Violin 2008.
Her major teachers include Prof. Mark Gothoni (Universitaet der Kuenste Berlin), Prof. Kolja Blacher (Hochschule fuer Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin), Prof. Augustin Dumay (Chapella Musicale Rein Elisabeth, Brussels) and Prof. Ming’En Zhou (Middle School affilliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music).
Fanglei was a scholar of the Menuhin Live Music Now Foundation ( Berlin ) and Villa Musica Foundation( Reinland-Pfalz ).
