
Rami Sarieddine | Piano& Chamber Music Teacher
An active performer throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Arabian Peninsula, Rami Sarieddine currently maintains an active schedule as a collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and music educator. He served as a the head piano fellow at the Bard College Conservatory of Music in upstate New York, playing for the Graduate Vocal Arts Program led by world-renowned soprano Dawn Upshaw, working with undergraduate instrumentalists, and teaching piano as a second study, as well as a Marc and Eva Stern Piano Fellow at SongFest in Los Angeles. Most recently, he was also the recipient of the pianist prize at the 2018 Mary Trueman Art Song Vocal Competition in the New York City.
An avid advocate of music by living composers, Rami has premiered works by composers such as James Primosch and Nina C. Young. Additionally he has worked with composers such as Mark Carlson, Libby Larsen, Steve Reich, and Frederich Rzewski.
In 2019, he founded the duo+ and collaboration hub Chimera with long-time collaborator, bass singer Andrew Robert Munn. They presented recitals in Abu Dhabi, Athens, Berlin, Cyprus and most recently in Paris. They presented the world premieres of works composed for the duo+ by Andys Skordis and Conrad Winslow. In addition, as Juilliard Global Artists they present master classes and workshops at K-12 Nord Anglia schools across the world. Rami also held teaching positions in Los Angeles, Abu Dhabi, and New York City, and most recently at the Central Conservatory Preparation School in Beijing.
Under the tutelage of pianist John Perry, Rami was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts degree with distinction, by the Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California and was nominated, and inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. During his tenure at USC Rami had successfully completed the academic elective field of Musicology concentrating on Medieval Manuscripts and on the piano oeuvre of Robert Schumann and Leon Kirchner. He also attended the New England Conservatory in Boston and the Royal Academy of Music in London where he studied with Gabriel Chodos and Patsy Toh respectively.
