Jaume Sanchis | Clarinet Teacher

Jaume Sanchis, born in Valencia Spain, he studied at the Music Conservatory of his city and later he moved to Vienna awarded with a scholarship by the "Valencia Conselleriad'EducacióiCiència", where he studied at the Vienna Music University with Professor Horst Hajek.


He was awarded at several international music competitions as the "Premio Valentino Bucchi" in Rome and the "Haverhill Sinfonia International Soloists Competition" in the United Kingdom.


He holds a chamber music and recitalist activity that has lead him to perform in Spain, Austria, Italy, United Kingdom, and China.


He has offered masterclasses in Valencia, Barcelona, Sevilla, Beijing and other cities in Spain.


As orchestral clarinetist he has been performing in symphony orchestras as a member and through collaborations in Spain "Gran Teatre del Liceu Symphony Orchestra" in Barcelona,  France, Austria, United States and lately in China where formerly he has been Principal Clarinet at the China National Opera House. Actually Mr. Sanchis holds the position of Principal Clarinet at the China National Center for the Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra.


He has recorded for the Spanish National Radio, Catalonia Radio, the "ALEPH" Foundation and "BELLATERRA MUSIC" in Barcelona, the "A.C.A." Foundation for the Contemporary Music and "NAVONA RECORDS" for "NAXOS AMERICA" with music by Francis Poulenc, CarlesGuinovart, Camille Saint-Sains and OsiasWillenski.
