
Zhang Yuan | Vocal Teacher
Zhang Yuan , a young teacher of the Central Conservatory of Music, is a soprano who studied in Germany and Austria. She has worked as a solo singer at the Graz Opera House in Austria, a guest solo actress at the Erfurt Opera in Germany, and a guest solo actress at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. She graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in 2010, learningfromGuolingLi who was an associate professor of vocal music andthe soprano singer of the Central Conservatory of Music.From 2011 to 2016, she obtained a double master's degree and the highest soloist diploma from National Institute of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim, Germany. (Ph. D),where shelearnedfrom the soprano singer and vocal professor Snezana Stamenkovic.
Award-winning experience:
In May 2014, Ms. Zhang won second place and the audience award in the Baden-Baden Opera Competition in Germany.
In 2014-2015, during whichshe was studying for the soloist diploma, Ms. Zhangwas awarded the scholarshipssponsored by the “Wihelm-Mueller” Foundation as she was in the third place of all professional performances.
In May 2013, she won the annual Youth Opera Star selected by “ZAV”Germany's largest brokerage company and was invited to participate in the annual Star Concert of the Kiel Theatre in Germany.
In September 2012,she won a special prizefrom the Italian Alkamo International Vocal Competition.
In 2010, she won first place in the 14th China Youth Singer TV Grand Prix China Record Corporation.
In July 2010, she was awarded as the“Outstanding graduate” of the Central Conservatory of Music.
In May 2009, she won first place in the 13thGerman “New Voice” International Vocal Competition in the China region.
In 2008-2009, she won the "211" Engineering Central Music Academy "Baosteel" outstanding student scholarship.
In April 2008, she won fourth place in the 14th "Ferruccio Tagliavini" International Vocal Competition in Austria and was praisedfrom Joan Sutherland, who is the chairman and famous soprano singer.

Ms. Zhang has been invited to participate with thewell-known tenor singers including: Francisco Araiza, mezzo-soprano Grace Bumbry, Birgitte Fassbaender, Marjana Lipovsek, Italian tenor educator Romualdo Savastano, famous soprano singer Cheryl Studer and other vocal masters.
She has played many classic roles on stage in China, Germany, and Austria. She acted as theheroine Rosina inRossini's opera "The Barber of Seville".Besides, she played as Tisbe in "Cinderella", Bellini's opera "Norma" Adalgisa,Flora in Verdi opera "La Traviata", Laura in "Loisy Miller",Meg Page in "Falstaff", Mercedes in Bicai opera "Carmen",Stephano in the opera "Romeo and Juliet",Macellina in Mozart's opera "Fegaro Wedding",Olga in Tchaikovsky opera "Onegin",Marchesa Melibea in Rossini's opera "Lees Journey" and Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" solo, Suzy and Lolette in Puccini's opera "Swallow",Dorabella in Mozart's opera "Woman's Heart" ,second female in "Magic" ,the mother in German opera "Hans and Gret" , Milli in "Der Ferne Kalng",Jiaozu in Chinese original opera "The Wilderness", Beethoven's ninth symphony as a solo and many other major concerts.
In addition, she has also cooperated with many famous conductors and symphony orchestras, such as Oksana Lyniv, Dirk Kaftan, Marco Comin, Robin Englen, Roland Kluttig, Andrea Sanguineti, Zhang Jiemin, Austria Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, Germany Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, Germany Erfurt Opera Orchestra, China National Grand Theatre Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Philharmonic Orchestra and Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, etc. Ms. Zhang successfully held a solo concert in Germany, known as the velvety Asian voice and was praised by many newspaper articles.
In 2018-2019, she was invited to play the role of Stefano in the Cournot opera "Romeo and Juliet" produced by the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and the role of Flora in the Verdi opera "La Traviata", all of which was widely complimented.
In 2014, she was invited to cooperate with the German Baden-Baden Philharmonic on the night of the aria concert, which the audience enjoy.
In 2013, she participated in a performance and performed as a soloist at the National University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim, Germany, and the National Opera of Mannheim.
In January 2010, she won the first place in the "Classic Night" series of concerts of the Zurich Opera Association in Asia. She was invited to participate in the concert held in Switzerland and was favored by the manager of the La Scala opera house in Italy.
In 2008, she participated in the performance of the Mahler Symphony No. 2 Resurrection, which was jointly presented by the Yale School of Music and the Central Conservatory of Music.
From 2007 to 2008, in the opening concert of Mr.ShuzhenGuo's 60th anniversary and the 115th anniversary of the birth of the Qingzhu, Liao Fushu's 100th anniversary concert, Ms Zhang played "Devil King", "I live in the Yangtze River" and many other tracks.
